Warmth. Empathy.
Compassion.

Therapy for sex and sexuality, gender identity, relational challenges, transitions, self-esteem, anxiety, and more, all for when you want to live a happier and healthier life.

I know firsthand how important it is to have a strong support system in life and am grateful for the friends and family who have loved and guided me along the way. I also know that sometimes, we need more. Sometimes, we need a person without any pre-existing involvement in our life who can help us understand historic patterns, connect the dots, and strategize with us how to make changes so we can live a happier and healthier life. That’s where therapy with a practitioner you trust comes in. In fact, trust is the number one predictor of a successful therapeutic relationship, so let’s find out if we’re a match!

Working Together
My therapy style is relatively informal (feel free to cuss like a sailor as needed) and combines different therapy models as we tackle challenges related to sex and sexuality, gender identity, interpersonal relationships, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and more. You can expect unconditional positive regard, meaning I show care, empathy, and support, regardless of any guilt or shame you might feel about past mistakes or taboo topics. Wherever you are on your therapy journey, you are welcome!

About Me
I care deeply about the state of mental healthcare in our community, especially for queer folks who historically have experienced a shortage of self-compassion and meaningful connection with others. My formal experience in mental health began in 2020 when I completed my training as a crisis counselor with the Trevor Project, serving LGBTQ+ youths experiencing suicidality, abuse, homelessness, bullying, dysphoria, and more. I went on to complete my master of social work in 2023, gaining experience in social service agencies and eventually a private therapy practice, where I found meaning and purpose that set me on my current career path.

After completing my board-approved period of supervision under Laney Zundel-Stenquist and passing the national Association of Social Work Boards exam, I became a fully-licensed clinical social worker in 2026, allowing me to independently serve Hampton Roads and the wider Virginia community. I have proudly supported and collaborated with local organizations like the LGBT Life Center, the Sarah Michelle Peterson Foundation, Mentally Healthy Norfolk, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Virginia Chapter, and more, all of which share a common goal to improve the health and wellbeing of our community.

In my personal life, I enjoy singing with local vocal ensembles, putting together jigsaw puzzles, falling down the Wikipedia rabbit hole, spending time with my partner and nerdy friends, and confusing non-Philadelphians when I say things like “wooder” and “I gotta tap MAC.”
